chronic myeloid leukemia
 (KRAH-nik MY-eh-loyd loo-KEE-mee-uh)A slowly progressing disease in which too many white blood cells (not lymphocytes) are made in the bone marrow. Also called chronic granulocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, and CML.
