A patient with advanced metastatic cancer is hospitalized for sepsis. The doctor, nurse, and chaplain initiate a discussion with the family about the patient’s care. The family is hoping for a miracle. The video concludes with a discussion by Dr. Richard Payne of the value of hospice care, and its congruence with African American spirituality.
