For the first time, illustrations are a part of NCI's PDQ® cancer information summaries designed for patients. These summaries are written in non-technical language with key points highlighted and unfamiliar terms defined. To further explain important terms and concepts in the summaries, images and photos have been introduced. Initially, 14 information summaries contain illustrations. Over time, additional summaries will be augmented with images. |  An image of the lower digestive system is among those added to cancer information summaries. |
