Added text to state that men in the finasteride group had a statistically significant incidence of high-grade (Gleason sum 8–10) cancers during the study (cited Thompson et al. as reference 1).
Significance
Updated incidence and mortality estimates for 2008 (cited American Cancer Society as reference 1).
Added text to state that radical prostatectomy has been found to be superior to surveillance in men with localized prostate cancer in terms of reduced rates of metastases and disease-specific and overall mortalities (cited Holmberg et al. as reference 11).
