1.  Sorafenib for Metastatic Prostate Cancer 5
(Posted: 01/23/2007, Updated: 02/09/2010) - In this clinical trial, patients with metastatic, androgen-independent prostate cancer will be treated with sorafenib, a small-molecule inhibitor that blocks the activity of several cancer-related proteins.

2.  Testing Satraplatin in Advanced Prostate Cancer 6
(Posted: 10/20/2009) - In this clinical trial, men with androgen-independent metastatic prostate cancer that has progressed after first-line chemotherapy will be treated with satraplatin and prednisone.

3.  Imaging the Extent of Prostate Cancer 7
(Posted: 06/02/2009, Updated: 07/31/2009) - In this clinical trial, researchers are testing PET scans using carbon-11 (C-11) acetate in conjunction with subsequent MRI to see if the resulting images allow better characterization of both the physical extent and the relative level of cellular growth of prostate tumors in patients known to have prostate cancer.

(Posted: 09/09/2008) - In this trial, prostate cancer patients classified as having a high risk of recurrence will be randomly assigned to undergo a course of neoadjuvant therapy consisting of chemotherapy and anti-androgen therapy or proceed directly to surgery.
