The National Cancer Institute's worldwide partners in information dissemination include commercial and nonprofit organizatons, businesses, and universities. In 2006, the NCI's Office of Communications and Education managed approximately 25 licensing agreements for NCI products.
The licensing program ensures the integrity and currency of NCI's information when it's distributed by others and reaches a broader community than NCI distribution alone can reach. The program also keeps the NCI abreast of new ways that electronic information is being used.
