Biography - Brittany Moya Del Pino

Brittany discovered the career field of science journalism after graduating from college and realizing that she was way too impatient to work in a laboratory: she would much rather “get to the good stuff” and tell stories about science than actually do it. She has been writing about health since 2000, working for the NCI Cancer Bulletin since 2004. She mostly edits articles and manages writer assignments, but every now and then she has time to write feature stories, many of which are inspired by events in her life or the lives of people she knows. She is particularly interested in cancer immunotherapy and writing profiles of the people who practice medicine and do research. She has an undergraduate degree in physiology and a master’s degree in science and medical writing from Johns Hopkins University.
