Georgetown University researchers find that genetic counseling via telephone is as effective as in-person counseling

The demand for genetic counseling is rapidly increasing as genetic testing for susceptibility to a vast range of diseases is now available. Can telephone counseling deliver the same quality and satisfaction as face-to-face interactions? A study lead by Georgetown researchers says yes.
