Special NCI Eligibility Requirements

1. NCI requires that all applicants must be the PIs of R01 or R01-like peer-reviewed cancer-focused research support at the time of application and during the award to be eligible for the K05 award.

2. Should grantees lose their independent research support during the K05 award, they will be given up to one year to regain their independent peer-reviewed research funding before NCI terminates the K05 grant.
