Trial Description

Purpose:

Vaccines made from a person's white blood cells mixed with peptides may make the body build an immune response to kill cancer cells.

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of vaccine therapy in treating patients with refractory stage IV cancer.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria include the following:

Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial.

Treatment/Intervention:

Patients' white blood cells will be collected and treated in the laboratory to make the vaccine. Patients will receive an injection of the vaccine every 3 weeks for a total of four or eight vaccinations. Patients will be evaluated every 3 months for 1 year.
