Alternate Title Phase II Study of Vatalanib in Patients With Primary or Secondary Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Trial Description Vatalanib may be effective in preventing the development of leukemia in patients who have myelodysplastic syndromes. This phase II trial is studying vatalanib to see how well it works in treating patients with primary or secondary myelodysplastic syndromes. Eligibility criteria include the following:
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will receive vatalanib by mouth once a day. Treatment may continue for as long as benefit is shown. Patients will be evaluated periodically for up to 5 years.
