Trial Description

Purpose:

Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as CCI-779, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.

This phase II trial is studying how well CCI-779 works in treating patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria include the following:

Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial.

Treatment/Intervention:

Patients will receive an infusion of CCI-779 once a week. Treatment may be repeated for as long as benefit is shown.

Patients will be evaluated every 3 months.
