Alternate Title Phase II Pilot Study of Temozolomide in Patients With Leptomeningeal Metastases From a Solid Tumor or Lymphoma
Trial Description Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of temozolomide in treating patients who have leptomeningeal metastases from a solid tumor or lymphoma.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will receive temozolomide by mouth daily for 6 weeks. Treatment may continue every 10 weeks for as long as benefit is shown. Quality of life will be assessed before treatment, once a week for 4 weeks, and then once a month thereafter.
