Alternate Title Randomized Screening and Diagnostic Study of Digital Mammography Versus Screen-Film Mammography in the Detection of Breast Cancer in Women
Trial Description Screening tests may help doctors detect cancer cells early and plan more effective treatment for cancer. It is not yet known which type of mammography is more effective in detecting breast cancer. Screening and diagnostic trial to compare the effectiveness of two types of mammography in detecting breast cancer in women.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Women will undergo both types of mammography of both breasts. Quality of life will be assessed. Participants will receive follow-up evaluations and mammography will be repeated at 1 year.
