Alternate Title Phase I Study of Continuous Infusion Gemcitabine in Patients With Advanced Metastatic Malignancies
Trial Description Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of gemcitabine given as a continuous infusion in treating patients who have advanced metastatic cancer.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will receive a 3-day continuous infusion of gemcitabine either once every 2 weeks or once a week for 3 weeks followed by a 1-week rest period. Treatment may be repeated for as long as benefit is shown. Important: For more details about this trial, refer to the Health Professional version of the trial summary.
