Alternate Title Phase I Study of Cryosurgery in Women With Highly Suspicious Breast Lesions
Trial Description Cryosurgery kills cancer cells by freezing them. Cryosurgery followed by lumpectomy or mastectomy may be an effective treatment for breast lesions. Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of cryosurgery in treating women who have breast lesions.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will undergo cryosurgery. Within 3-21 days they will undergo surgery to remove either the lesion or the entire breast. Patients will be evaluated at 1 week and then once a month for 3 months.
