Trial Description

Purpose:

Radiofrequency ablation may be effective in decreasing pain from bone metastases.

Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation in decreasing pain in patients who have bone metastases.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria include the following:

Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial.

Treatment/Intervention:

Patients will undergo radiofrequency ablation directly to the metastatic bone lesion. The degree of pain and mood will be evaluated periodically. Patients will be evaluated at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months.
