Alternate Title Phase II Pilot Study of Fluorouracil/Leucovorin Calcium/Cisplatin (FLEP) in Profoundly Immunosuppressed Patients with AIDS-Related Lymphoma (Summary Last Modified 08/2000)
Trial Description Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating patients with AIDS -related lymphoma.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will receive combination chemotherapy over a period of 1-5 days. Treatment will be repeated every 3 weeks for three to six courses. Some patients will receive radiation therapy before and/or after chemotherapy. Patients will receive follow-up evaluations every 3 months for 1 year, every 4 months for 1 year, and every 6-12 months thereafter.
