Alternate Title Phase II Study of Aminocamptothecin as Second-Line Therapy in Patients With Advanced, Recurrent, or Inoperable Ovarian Epithelial Cancer (Summary Last Modified 04/2002)
Trial Description Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of aminocamptothecin in treating patients with recurrent or unresectable epithelial ovarian cancer that has been previously treated with platinum -based chemotherapy.
Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial. Patients will receive a 3-day continuous infusion of aminocamptothecin. Treatment may be repeated every 2 weeks for as long as benefit is shown. Patients will be evaluated every 3 months for 2 years, every 6 months for 3 years, and once a year thereafter.
