Trial Description

Purpose:

Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.

Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of paclitaxel in treating patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer.

Eligibility:

Final eligibility for a clinical trial is determined by the health professionals conducting the trial.

Treatment/Intervention:

Patients will receive a 4-day continuous infusion of paclitaxel every 3 weeks for up to 12 courses.
