Cancer Research Interns

THE APPLICATION CYCLE FOR THE 2020 CRI SUMMER PROGRAM

                                                    Mid-November until JANUARY 21st

The Cancer Research Interns (CRI) Summer Program was inaugurated in 2004 to provide an open door for students looking for an initial training opportunity. The goal is to enhance diversity within the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) trainee population and we have placed 16 groups of students from 2004 to 2019, in labs and branches across the division. The CCR and the Center for Cancer Training’s Office of Training and Education provide stipend support, some Service & Supply funds, and travel support for those students who meet the financial eligibility criteria (View the 2020 flier).

To Application

Students interested in the Cancer Research Interns (CRI) Summer Internship Program must apply on-line through the NIH Office of Intramural Training and Education (OITE) website – www.training.nih.gov.

Applicants must also send their official transcript and e-mail a Statement of Interest to Program Manager Vi Black on/by the application deadline.

The Statement of Interest should include an explanation of how the applicant’s participation would further the goal of the CRI Summer Program to enhance diversity within the CCR training program, consistent with NIH’s Notice of Interest in Diversity NOT-OD-18-210. Students from under-represented populations or disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
