Childhood cancer data is often stored at the hospital or institution where a child is treated, unfortunately, no single institution treats enough children to move research forward. Let’s learn more to improve the future for children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer by connecting this data and sharing it with the entire cancer research community. The Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) is completing the puzzle to learn from and help heal children, teens, and young adults with cancer. Since, progress requires data from many sources that is connected and easy to access it is important that thoughtful tools for analyzing data are created to help answer important questions. Complete data sets are needed to understand each type of cancer and data is the foundation that informs new treatments and improves lives faster.
