The FY25 Division of Cancer Biology (DCB) Progress in Advancing Basic Cancer Research infographic includes data showing that DCB enables basic cancer biology studies and collaboration: 1,900+ grants funded by DCB, 300+ new awards supported by DCB for research projects, 3,000+ publications acknowledged DCB support, 10 public events related to cancer biology, 110,000+ views of the DCB website, and 22 research programs supported by DCB that promote interdisciplinary team science driving discovery in cancer research. It also shows how DCB supports basic cancer researchers, including new and early-stage investigators (ESIs): 66% ESI R01 Awards qualified for MERIT Award status, 40+ new grantees investigating cancer biology were supported by DCB, including many early-stage researchers, and 1,000+ attendees of the annual DCB New Grantee Workshop for new and early-stage investigators since 2001.
