Molecular Diagnostics for Cancer Treatment: Completing the Picture

Molecular diagnostics can be used to select therapy based on biomarkers identified from a tumor's genome (DNA), transcriptome (mRNA), or proteome (proteins). Researchers anticipate that integration of this information will provide a more detailed molecular picture of tumors and improve the likelihood that patients will benefit from treatment.
