Yvonne Duglas-Tabor has expertise in R13 and R50 grants related to cancer immunology and cancer health disparities, as well as knowledge about the role that the immune system plays in leukemia/lymphoma pathogenesis. 

Along with her Cancer Immunology, Hematology, and Etiology Branch (CIHEB) activities, Ms. Duglas-Tabor is a member of an NCI Equity and Inclusion Council Working Group, the Ensuring Diversity of Thought and Background in the Cancer Research Workforce (EDTB) Working Group, and the NCI DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibilty) Strategic Plan Working Group. 

She says, “it’s imperative that NCI extramural and intramural workforce in research represent the people that we serve” and is committed to addressing workforce inequities and cancer health disparities in cancer research.

 

Background

Prior to coming to the NCI, Ms. Duglas-Tabor was a Senior Research Technician in the  Laboratory of Molecular Ocular Diseases at the National Eye Institute (NEI), where she was the expert in 2D electrophoresis and TOF mass spectroscopy.
