Treatment may be one of the following:

1. Surgery to remove the tumor (usually transsphenoidal surgery) with or without radiation therapy.
2. Radiation therapy alone.
3. Drug therapy to stop the tumor from making ACTH.
4. A clinical trial of stereotactic radiation surgery.
