Overview

The International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP) brings together United Nations agencies, NCI-Designated Cancer Centers, governments, and nongovernmental organizations to coordinate efforts in support of countries as they develop and implement evidence-based national cancer control plans, to respond to national cancer control needs and meet United Nations targets. ICCP is co-convened by the Center for Global Health (CGH) and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

Impact

ICCP learns from a responds to countries through technical assistance in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of their national cancer control plans. It does this by:

  • providing leadership and expertise to stakeholders in the development of national cancer control plans and their implementation, as informed by data and the priorities of the country
  • reviewing, evaluating, and providing feedback on drafts of national cancer control plans
  • conducting periodic global reviews of the current state of national cancer control plans and fostering related health policy research opportunities
  • facilitating dialogue with experts on specific areas of cancer control
  • convening a virtual community of practice dedicated to bi-directional learning about cancer control planning using Project ECHO®, a collaborative learning technology
