Late Effects After HCT in Children

Added text to state that a study from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital reported that while all children younger than 3 years had a decline in IQ at 1 year after transplant, patients who did not receive total-body irradiation (TBI) during conditioning recovered later. However, patients who received TBI had a significantly lower IQ at 5 years than did those who did not receive TBI.
