Virtual Reality and/or Music for Reducing Pain and Anxiety in Patients Undergoing Bone Marrow or Prostate Biopsy

Trial Status: active

This trial studies how well virtual reality (VR) and/or music work in reducing pain and anxiety in patients undergoing bone marrow or prostate biopsy. VR is technology that creates immersive, computer-generated experiences that a person can interact with and navigate through. It can be tailored to what individual users find relaxing and may help to relieve pain. Music can reduce anxiety, stress, and depression, which are common emotional responses to pain, and improve mood, relaxation, and well-being, which can reduce the perception of pain. VR and/or music interventions may reduce pain and anxiety during and after bone marrow or prostate biopsies.
