Olaparib in Treating Patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer with DNA Repair Gene Mutations

Trial Status: closed to accrual

This phase II trial studies how well olaparib works in treating patients with breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) and has deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repair mutations. Olaparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth in patients with metastatic breast cancer.
