Exercise and Nutrition Prehabilitation Program in Improving Outcomes for Patients with Resectable or Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiation before Surgery

Trial Status: temporarily closed to accrual

This trial studies how well an exercise and nutrition prehabilitation program works in improving outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer that can be removed by surgery (resectable) or has spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes (locally advanced) and are undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment before surgery. An exercise program may increase the capacity to better sustain the physical stress of therapy and surgery. Nutrition counseling may also improve patients' exercise capacity. This trial is being done to explore the benefits of an exercise and nutrition program during chemotherapy and radiation treatment in preparation for surgery.
