This clinical trial tests how well an educational video works to improve genetic testing understanding and uptake in patients with ovarian and mismatch-repair deficient (MMRd) endometrial (uterine) cancers. Some female cancers may be genetic, meaning they are passed down from a parent through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) (the genetic code or roadmap). In people with certain types of ovarian and uterine cancer, it may be helpful to test their DNA for any errors that can cause cancer. There are lots of important pieces of information to share when someone is diagnosed with cancer. A short educational video explaining what genetic testing is and why it is important may help patients better understand genetic testing for ovarian and MMRd endometrial cancer and may improve genetic testing uptake in this population.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
I. To estimate overall rates of National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guideline-directed genetic testing completed in subjects with ovarian cancer and MMRd endometrial cancer before and after implementation of multimedia videos for patient education.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:
I. To compare overall rates of genetic testing in subjects with ovarian cancer and MMRd endometrial cancer before and after implementation of multimedia videos for patient education.
II. To evaluate satisfaction of subjects with ovarian and MMRd endometrial cancer with the educational videos as measured by a brief satisfaction survey.
EXPLORATORY OBJECTIVE:
I. To estimate and compare overall rates of genetic testing separately for 1) those ordered by the primary gynecologic oncologist, 2) formal referrals to genetic counselors, and 3) genetics “e-consults” in subjects with ovarian and MMRd endometrial cancer before and after implementation of multimedia videos for patient education.
OUTLINE:
Patients watch an educational video related to genetic testing over 20 minutes on study.
After completion of study intervention, patients are followed up for 3-6 months.
