A Mobile Health Intervention to Assess Sun Exposure and Activities in Melanoma Survivors, SESAME Trial
This clinical trial refines a mobile health intervention to better assess sun exposure and activities in melanoma survivors. Sun protection resources are especially valuable to melanoma survivors who face an increased risk of new primary melanoma. Mobile health (mHealth) approaches hold significant potential for delivering actionable information on sun protection and exposure. However, these approaches have not been designed to account for sun protection in real time, and little is known about which mHealth components are the most effective. Through a user-centered design process, researchers hope to refine previously identified unprotected sun exposure intervention strategies to build a mobile health system that can provide real-time, helpful, actionable information to melanoma survivors.
