Adoptive T Cell Therapy in Treating Patients with Cytomegalovirus Infection Occurring after Stem Cell Transplant

Trial Status: active

This clinical trial studies adoptive T cell therapy in treating patients with cytomegalovirus infection occurring after stem cell transplant. T cells are infection fighting blood cells. Adoptive T cell therapy collects T cells from the blood of a donor that has immunity against an infection to give to patients. In this study, specialized T cells that can fight a cytomegalovirus infection are selected from donor blood. These donor T cells may be able to fight infection with the virus in patients who have received a stem cell transplant.
