Bemcentinib with Chemotherapy in Treating Patients with Metastatic or Recurrent Pancreatic Cancer

Trial Status: administratively complete

This phase Ib/II trial studies how well bemcentinib in combination with chemotherapy work in treating patients with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or that has come back (recurrent). Bemcentinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as nab-paclitaxel, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving bemcentinib with chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with pancreatic cancer.
