Contrast-Enhanced CBCT during Radiation Therapy in Patients with Abdominal or Pelvic Tumors

Trial Status: administratively complete

This early phase I trial studies the feasibility of contrast-enhanced CBCT during radiation therapy in patients with abdominal or pelvic tumors. Iohexol is a liquid that helps with the visibility of organs and blood vessels. CBCT is computerized X-ray that utilizes a cone shaped X-ray beam to capture a series of images within the body. Using contrast-enhanced CBCT may help doctors to better see tumors and know where to target radiation therapy, resulting in precise tumor targeting and minimizing the dose delivered to surrounding normal tissue.
