Gastric Mucosa Irrigation for the Surveillance of Precursor Lesions to Gastric Cancer
Trial Status: closed to accrual
This early phase I trial investigates a new approach to screening for precursor lesions and early detection of stomach (gastric) cancer by utilizing pressurized irrigation of the gastric mucosa. Using gastric mucosa irrigation may help to develop a better way to find changes in the lining of the stomach that can lead to gastric cancer. This technique may simplify testing for precursor lesions of gastric cancer, making screening more effective in regions of lower prevalence where providers are less experienced with visual identification of such lesions.
