This study seeks to better understand the development of gastric (stomach) precancerous conditions and gastric cancer. There are currently no accepted recommendations for the screening or surveillance of gastric precancerous conditions. Information gained from this study may help develop a customized and targeted approach to identify the risk of development and the risk of progression of gastric precancerous conditions.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
I. To understand and characterize histologic, proteomic, epigenetic, and genetic changes which promote gastric precancerous conditions (GPC) and gastric cancer.
OUTLINE:
Participants complete questionnaire over 10 minutes regarding their medical history, travel history, antibiotic use, history of H. pylori testing and treatment, and proton-pump inhibitor use. Participants undergo collection of saliva, stool, and blood samples. Participants also undergo collection of tissue, and mucous or stomach juice samples during standard of care endoscopy.
