Reiki Therapy in Cancer Patients Hospitalized in an Inpatient Setting

Trial Status: complete

This clinical trial studies reiki therapy in cancer patients hospitalized in an inpatient setting. Reiki is a healing practice that originated in Japan. Reiki practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above the person receiving treatment, with the goal of facilitating the person’s own healing response. Reiki is based on the idea that there is a universal (or source) energy that supports the body’s innate healing abilities. This is being done to find out the feasibility of offering and providing reiki therapy in hospitalized cancer patients and to determine if there is any effect on the symptoms and feelings during your hospital stay.
