Northwestern Ovarian Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Program

Inclusion Criteria

• NORTHWESTERN OVARIAN CANCER EARLY DETECTION & PREVENTION PROGRAM (NOCEDPP) HIGH-RISK POPULATION: Eligible subjects will have at least one of the following risk factors: * One or more first degree relatives (mother, sister, daughter) with ovarian, endometrial, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer * One first degree relative, or two or more second degree relatives diagnosed under the age of fifty with either ovarian, endometrial, primary peritoneal, fallopian tube, and/or pancreatic cancer who have tested positive for hereditary cancer syndrome or have increased risk as deemed by a certified genetic counselor * A personal or family history of a hereditary cancer syndrome that includes an increased risk of gynecologic cancer * Increased risk as deemed by a certified genetic counselor
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: One or more first degree relatives (mother, sister, daughter) with ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal cancer or fallopian tube cancer
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: One first degree relative or two or more second degree relatives diagnosed under the age of fifty with either ovarian, primary peritoneal, fallopian tube, and/or pancreatic cancer who have tested positive for hereditary cancer syndrome or have increased risk as deemed by a certified genetic counselor
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: A personal or family history of a hereditary cancer syndrome that includes an increased risk of gynecologic cancer
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: Increased risk as deemed by a certified genetic counselor
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: A diagnosis of a reproductive cancer, including borderline tumors (excluding cervical cancer)
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: Planned risk-reducing salpingo oophorectomy
• GYNECOLOGIC OR GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY POPULATION: Eligible subjects will have at least one of the following: * A gynecologic cancer that requires surgery, or * A mass that is suspicious for a gynecologic cancer that requires surgery, or * A non-cancerous gynecologic condition that requires surgery, or * Elected to have your ovaries surgically removed, or * Excessive fluid in your abdomen (ascites) and you are having a procedure to remove this fluid, or * Excessive fluid in the area(s) surrounding your lungs (pleural fluid) and you are having a procedure to remove this fluid * A condition that requires routine gynecological evaluation
• HEALTHY CONTROL POPULATION: Eligible subjects are asked to participate in a research study as part of the normal, apparently healthy control population. Subjects will have no personal of family history of cancer, and are identified at general population risk
• Women must be between the ages of 18 and 80
• Women must have the ability to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent document and authorization permitting the release of personal health information
• Pregnant women can be consented to the study. We will not be including children or prisoners in this study
