Development and Implementation of Electronic Decision Aids for Genetic Testing in Inherited Cancer Syndromes

This clinical trial tests electronic decision aids for genetic testing in inherited cancer syndromes. The demand for genetic testing in increasing, especially for inherited cancer syndromes where genetic testing is standard of care for diagnosis. Genetic counselors typically manage the testing process. However, there is currently a shortage of genetic counselors and oncologists (cancer doctors) are unable to meet this demand. An electronic decision aid may help patients choose a multi-gene testing panel with their medical oncologist instead of a genetic counselor.
