A Dietary Supplement (HVMN Ketone-IQ) for the Prevention of Colorectal Cancer
This clinical trial tests the safety and side effects of a beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) dietary supplement called HVMN Ketone-IQ and evaluates how it affects the lining of the colon and BHB levels in the blood. BHB is a natural product that is generated when the body is fasting or on a ketogenic diet, which is a diet that is high in fat and low in carbohydrates. HVMN Ketone-IQ is an over-the-counter dietary supplement that can increase BHB levels without the need for fasting or diet changes. This clinical trial evaluates whether a supplement that increases BHB levels is safe and tolerable by patients and whether or not it produces changes in blood or the lining of the colon (or large intestine) that may be protective against developing colorectal cancer.
