The clinical trial evaluates the feasibility and acceptability of a home blood transfusion program for patients with hematologic malignancies who need blood transfusions. Providing home blood transfusions may help to improve symptoms and quality of life of patients with hematologic malignancies, and also save commuting time to and from clinic/infusion center to receive blood transfusions.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
I. To assess the feasibility and acceptability of a home transfusion program embedded in hospice care for patients with advanced hematologic malignancies with an estimated life-expectancy of six months or less.
OUTLINE:
Patients undergo collection of blood and receive at home blood transfusion on study. Patients also complete questionnaires and participate in interviews on study.
