PrehabPal Web App or Written Surgery Prehabilitation Instructions to Improve Engagement for Older Adults Undergoing Surgery for Colorectal Cancer
Trial Status: active
This clinical trial compares the use of the PrehabPal web application (app) to written surgery prehabilitation instructions to improve engagement with the prehabilitation activates for older adults undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer. Increasing age is associated with poor surgical outcomes after colorectal cancer surgery. However, engaging in prehabilitation activities can result in improved patient outcomes post surgery. Using the PrehabPal app to complete the prehabilitation activities may result in more engagement with prehabilitation activities and may lead to better patient outcomes, than written prehabilitation instructions for older adults undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer.
