This study is being done to to develop, assess, and refine a brief electronic survey tool, the Care Tracker, that can be completed weekly at home on a computer or smartphone, by patients with newly diagnosed breast and colorectal cancer. The survey will allow patients to self-report progress from their cancer diagnosis to starting treatment. The long-term goal of this research is to alert care teams when patients may be at risk of treatment days and to help patients get treatment faster, and to test how well this tool works and whether patients would enjoy using it.
