This study evaluates whether radiation therapy decreases tumor size and tumor spread in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma that have undergone or are scheduled to undergo radiation therapy.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
I. Feasibility, safety and therapeutic effect of the neoadjuvant administration of a short accelerated course of high-dose hypofractionated hemithoracic radiation followed by extrapleural pneumonectomy in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma.
