Universal Genetic Testing for Cancer Risk Reduction: A Prospective Interventional Pilot Study

This study evaluates the uptake of universal genetic testing in a diverse cohort of 25-39 year-old patients at population risk of ovarian cancer.

* Female patients between ages of 25-39 years at the time of visit * Receive gynecologic care at an affiliated NYULH site listed in this protocol

* Personal history of ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal, or uterine cancers * Previously undergone germline testing for ovarian cancer risk variants (prior commercial saliva-based kits, such as 23andMe, are acceptable) * History of bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy * Visit related to pregnancy or immediately postpartum (within 2 weeks)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

I. To quantify the uptake of universal genetic testing in a diverse cohort of 25-39 year-old patients at population risk of ovarian cancer.

OUTLINE: This is an observational study.

Patients undergo saliva sample collection for genetic testing and have their medical records reviewed on study.
