METRICS Study: Metabolic Evaluation through Resting Indirect Calorimetry in Bladder Cancer

Inclusion Criteria

• * Adult patients (≥ 18 years old) were diagnosed with bladder cancer, confirmed by histopathological analysis * Patients are scheduled to undergo platinum-based chemotherapy followed by radical cystectomy * Baseline Measurements: Patients who are available for baseline REE/BIA/DEXA measurements before the initiation of chemotherapy

Exclusion Criteria

• * Patients who have already received any form of chemotherapy or radiotherapy for bladder cancer * Patients with severe cardiac, renal, hepatic, or metabolic diseases that could interfere with the study outcomes * Patients currently receiving enteral or parenteral nutrition support * Pregnant or breastfeeding women due to potential risks to the fetus or infant * Patients with conditions that contraindicate the use of IC, such as those on oxygen therapy or with severe respiratory disorders
