Treatment Options for Primary Refractory/Recurrent Hodgkin Lymphoma in Children and Adolescents
Treatment of primary refractory or recurrent childhood Hodgkin lymphoma may include the following:
- Chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, or a combination of these therapies.
- High-dose chemotherapy with stem cell transplant using the patient's own stem cells. Low-dose radiation therapy also may be given after transplant.
- High-dose chemotherapy with stem cell transplant using a donor's stem cells.
- A clinical trial of a new combination of a monoclonal antibody and chemotherapy.
Check for U.S. clinical trials from NCI's list of cancer clinical trials that are now accepting patients with recurrent/refractory childhood Hodgkin lymphoma. For more specific results, refine the search by using other search features, such as the location of the trial, the type of treatment, or the name of the drug. General information about clinical trials is available from the NCI Web site.
