As NCI chief of staff, Anne E. Lubenow, M.P.H., partners with the NCI director and other institute leadership to provide senior level advice and consultation on the planning, coordination, and integration of institute-wide scientific, policy, and administrative priorities.
With more than 25 years of service at NCI, Ms. Lubenow has held leadership roles across communications, advocacy, and administrative management. She has guided high-impact initiatives and built strong partnerships across the federal government, cancer research community, and patient advocacy organizations.
Ms. Lubenow has played a central role in major institute efforts, including multiple leadership transitions and the development of scientific initiatives such as the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative.
Ms. Lubenow’s contributions and dedication to NCI’s mission have been recognized with multiple NIH Director’s Awards and NCI Awards of Merit. She holds a Master of Public Health from the New Jersey School of Public Health and a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Delaware.
